witnessing discussion

Mark 1:44  And saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, show thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
Mark 1:45  But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.
Isn't salvation better than physical healing? Don't be silent.
Good thoughts,we get discouraged with all who turn their backs on Jesus and mock him and us, that we do not do as much, from weariness, perhaps?
Another thought? Jesus told the man to be quiet, so that he could minister in the cities. Who did he minister too? The woman at the well, Mary Magdalene, individuals with no hope. The Centurions servant and others in need, that might easily be overlooked in a crowd. Have you ever began to lead someone to the Lord in a chat and have someone start talking with great excitment, but who was destroying the personal contact you had with the one you were seeking to help?   Crowds came to Jesus, when perhaps he was seeking individuals. They pressed to him, but the faint one was unable to reach him. The Pharisees became jealous of him and sought to kill him in Jerusalem, the city he wished to minister too. Yet he boldly went before them and taught in the Temple. The word was spoken and that is most important. Healing of sin and despair by his obedience.   We still must obey the voice of God. Is their someone who is alone, quiet, in need? Go to that one. Do crowds prevent you from ministering? Speak God's word to the crowd. Those who have ears will hear. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++   A Friends response: - Some of what I thought was....That many times we get so far away from Jesus in our hearts, that we feel condemned to go and tell others. It would be like saying: Hey; let me tell you about Jesus and what He can do in a life...But on the inside...you hear Oh yeah? What has He done for you? -Or- What have you let Him do? Not that Jesus is a product to sell...but if we were a salesman...If we really believed in our product( because we know it has helped us...that is was a life saver ) we will tell others no matter what. I didn't want to say it like that, as that would be a little too strong and might be too critical.   - Weariness? I think sometimes; yes. The busier you let yourself become, the more you just want to be away from things. - Honestly; I think you were reflecting your heart there ( a Shepherds heart ) - The Shepherd will leave the 99 to go and get the one. Sometimes; we lose sight at the picture before us. We see men as trees walking ( out of focus, blurry ) or we see them clearly as they are. Men are saved or lost and God calls us...that  as we go...tell. If we won't tell a neighbor or someone we see daily; no real need to go to Zimbabwe to do it. - But even Jesus often withdrew to a place to pray and refresh Himself in God.For me; if I am so stressed over people's demands on my time....If I don't relax and let go...I will get sharp. Then I am in my own strength and am just  couple of words away from messing up.   Individuals. - Interesting thought. I see Jesus as doing major teaching/preaching to crowds and groups; but he was always ready to stop and minister to the one or few....on some occasions..much to His disciples dismay. - He knows us as His creation, but like the Shepherd; He knows us as individuals.     Chat/person - I have not had that experience. Sometime, I will have to share a few thoughts on how I have seen evangelism go off into the ditch.     Jesus -If there was one thing the Pharisees had to hate, it was the demonstration of power, love and authority that Jesus readily displayed. They read the words, but didn't know the Author when He was standing in front of them.     Life -I think if we see correctly; the fields are white unto harvest. I wonder if we see every person as salvageable? If we want ministry; God  will show us each day a person with to whom we can speak a word or encouragement or tell them the good news. Divine appointments. -For just waking up... that's a few thoughts...from me... Have a blessed day bro. space
