Luke-Touch Jesus

  Luke 8:43  And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,

The woman spent all her money on doctors, but was not helped.

Luke 8:44  Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.

In faith she goes through the crowd and touches the hem of Jesus' garment. and she was healed immediately. Her faith and her touching even his garment brought her healing. There is no feelings in a garment, especially with a crowd pressing in.

Luke 8:45  And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
Luke 8:46  And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me.

Jesus knew that someone had touched him in faith, for healing virtue had gone out from him. The healing is of God. Faith healers are used by God, he flows through them to heal. Some feel power going through them from God to the person healed. It is not of man, but of God.

1 Cor 12:7  But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
1 Cor 12:8  For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
1 Cor 12:9  To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

The skeptic will say, well, if you can heal why don't you walk through a hospital and heal everyone? It isn't of man's will, but of God. Jesus willed that others be healed and they were. He is God, the Son. Jesus willed it and people were healed.

Mat 8:2  And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
Mat 8:3  And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

Luke 8:47  And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.
Luke 8:48  And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thyfaith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

It would seem that faith is required and also sometimes, touching Jesus. How do we touch Jesus? Some say when we worship him he comes and as he passes by we reach out in faith to touch him. This is Spiritual. Jesus dwells in believers, so when we assemble together in unity praising him, he is touched.

Heb 4:15  For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Heb 4:16  Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Worship and prayer touch the heart of Jesus. He may call you to heal someone, because you trust completely in him. He uses those who he trusts. Also, by faith we ask and receive of him. Never give up, he knows your condition and do not let others judge you. God is personal and Jesus cares for you. He is touched by our diligent prayers of faith.
