Wisdom

Prov 4:6  Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.
David writing under the inspiration of God speaks of wisdom as a "her." Feminine, fair, help meet, a fulfillment to make the man whole. The Church is a her, for Christ, the fulfillment so to speak, by fellowship and love given. I see wisdom as needed for the fulfillment of fellowship with one another and with God. His wisdom, his understanding, his word. It is fair, it is beautiful, to be desired for the soul. Does Jesus want a dumb bride? Ignorant of his glory and will? When we are with him we will have his wisdom, but now, we are here. We are to love God from here in wisdom and sincerity. Calling him the "old man upstairs" is not wisdom, and it does not glorify him. Speaking his word to him in love is a show of fellowship, love and respect. There is enough foolishness in the world, we do not belong in that. We are to come out from them, be separated, be wise and worship God in a true heart. We also are to be wise, speaking encouragement one to another...Gary
