Luke-Shining light

Shining light   Luke 8:16  No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.   Is your candle lit? What is this light? Is it not the truth of God and the living presence of His Spirit burning in our heart? Shall we keep it to ourselves and not share in the darkness we live in? We are to let Jesus shine; shine Jesus shine. Jesus spoke:   John 9:4  I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
John 9:5  As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
As long as Jesus is in us, he is still in the world. When we are removed. the world will be more wicked than ever. If we do the work of Jesus, we through His Spirit will keep away complete corruption. Salt is used to prevent decay.   Mat 5:13  Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
If we, the adopted children of God take on the ways of the world and it's evil, where is the light where is the salt?
Luke 8:17  For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.   Nothing is hid from God. The light shall shine on all things.
Luke 8:18  Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.   If we obey God and use his gifts for his glory, we receive more from him. If we hide our light and our gift, it will be taken away.   The parable of the talents explains this.   Mat 25:23  His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
Mat 25:24  Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strowed:
Mat 25:25  And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
Mat 25:26  His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strowed:
Mat 25:27  Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
Mat 25:28  Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
Mat 25:29  For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
