Luke-Homeless

Luke 9:57  And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.

A man comes to Jesus as he was traveling on the highway saying, Lord, master I will follow you wherever you go. Do we say this too? We sing where he leads I will follow. We like the blessings of the Lord and some believe by giving to certain evangelists that they will receive homes and cars and material success. There is another success that they should seek, the success of doing the will of God.

Luke 6:45  A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
Luke 6:46  And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Luke 9:58  And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

Jesus was not born a king in a palace, but to a humble family. He was laid in a manger. He came as a lowly servant.

Mat 12:18  Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall show judgment to the Gentiles.
Mat 12:19  He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.
Mat 12:20  A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.
Mat 12:21  And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.
Jesus gave his life a sacrifice for many.

Mat 20:27  And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:
Mat 20:28  Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Mat 23:11  But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

Mat 23:12  And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.   Jesus had no home, but he served the Father with all his heart, doing his will, blessing many. Do you still want to follow Jesus? If so? A mansion awaits you in heaven. If you are blessed with a home, use it for hospitality. If you are given wealth; use it for God's kingdom. All we own comes from the Father. Follow Jesus and use all for his glory.

HOMES for the HOMELESS
