Revelation 19 - Victory

Victory

Rev 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

John describes in metaphors what he saw, as he saw Jesus coming as King on the white horse.

His vesture, His garment or robe, was dipped in blood. The blood shed at Calvary for our sins, the blood that defeated the power of satan; and another name is given: The Word of God.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.

John 1:9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
John 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
John 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Can you see who Jesus is? Where are you in regard to Jesus? Have you His victory? Hear Paul, about this.

2 Cor 5:4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
2 Cor 5:5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
2 Cor 5:6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
2 Cor 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
2 Cor 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

We are the Lord's people. To be absent in this life places us with Jesus. We shall return with him in victory! We are in God's army, whether in this body now, or returning with him and the angels.

Rev 19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

That's us, the saints of God who have gone to heaven, by death or by the rapture. We shall be clothed in white linen, glorified with him, white and clean with no sin or memories of sin to stain our minds or bodies.

Jude 1:22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:
Jude 1:23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
Jude 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
Jude 1:25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and for ever. Amen.

We are cleansed by the blood of the Lamb, now and forever. We are the Lord's mighty army, not by our flesh or will, but by the Spirit and will of Almighty God. Feeling defeated? Stand up and take up your sword and shield. Prepare your hearts and minds for the victory in Jesus.
