Joint-heirs with Jesus

Rom 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

2 Tim 1:7  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Bondage and fear come to the flesh from the devil and those who are in his control. Jesus has given us an inheritance with him. We are adopted into God's family, God is our Father. Abba, Daddy, a term of affection. Our past identity is gone. We belong to a new family.

2 Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2 Cor 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

LORD God, you are the Father of all who trust in you. Those who have no good earthly father, you are the eternal father. The creator of all. You will take care of your children. You are always faithful and true.

Joint-heirs with Jesus

Rom 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Yes, the Spirit of God has made our human spirit alive. We were dead in spirit because Adam passed death onto us. All have sinned and were separated from God. But now, we are the children of God! Adopted into God's family by the Lord Jesus Christ who made the way by shedding his blood on the cross. As the Spirit raised him to new life, so we are raised and made alive in him.

Col 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
Col 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Col 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
Col 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Col 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Rom 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Gal 4:4  But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
Gal 4:5  To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
Gal 4:6  And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Gal 4:7  Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

We are identified in Christ Jesus, joined as heirs with Jesus. We are heirs of all that he is heir to; all things! While on earth, we shall suffer many things. The world hated Jesus and they will hate us, but we have overcone the world. We shall be like Jesus, glorified and eternal with all things given to us, surrounded by love and peace. What are the things of God that we receive? All power and dominion with him, all knowledge, love, the creation, all things, wow! Now we search the deep things of God by His Spirit and His word, that comes alive.

1 Cor 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
1 Cor 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
1 Cor 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 1 Cor 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
1 Cor 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

Rom 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

A song; It will be worth it all, when we see Jesus, Life's trials will seem so small When we see Christ; One glimpse of His dear face All sorrows will erase So bravely run the race Till we see Christ. (Esther Kerr Rusthoi)

Heb 2:10  For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
Heb 2:11  For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
Heb 2:12  Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.
Heb 2:13  And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.
Heb 2:14  Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
Heb 2:15  And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Restored Creation

Rom 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
Rom 8:20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
Rom 8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

When Messiah Jesus returns to earth for the 1000 year reign he will restore all things. Even the creation will be at peace as described by the prophet:

Isa 11:6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
Isa 11:7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
Isa 11:8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' (snakes) den.
Isa 11:9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

Rom 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

Travailing in birthpain, waiting for the restoration.

Gen 3:17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
Gen 3:18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
Gen 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

When Messiah Jesus returns the earth will no longer be cursed, bringing forth thorns as Adam was also cursed for his transgression. Jesus is the last Adam bringing righteousness and restoration. Ours also is a ministry of restoration, bringing life wherever we go.

1 Cor 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

LORD God we ask for fruit unto righteousness. Give us your Spirit to bring life to a cursed world. Help us to find others to bring into your glorious Kingdom. Where there was strife, let their be peace. Where there is confusion may your truth set them free. Where there is darkness, may your light shine bright. Restore souls into your fellowship. May love prevail and joy unspeakable and full of glory.

Holy Spirit Intercession

Rom 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

The Spirit of God searches our hearts if we are in Christ and brings our needs to God. This verse has been used to give blessings to your tongues speaking prayer language. Making utterances from the heart that only God can understand. If we can pray , we do so in words, but if we do not know how to pray what is on our heart, the Spirit brings our requests (groanings) to our Father in heaven.

Rom 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

And He that searches the hearts, our Father hears the intercessions of the Spirit for us, according to the will of God. The Spirit will not request things that may be of a wrong spirit in our hearts. For example, a teen may be a Christian but immature, wishing to commit suicide. The Spirit of God will make intercessions not according to her wrong thinking but according to God's will and purpose. Perhaps a prayer for strength and truth or a similar positive request, which is the true need of the heart.

I have heard from some who were abused as children and called out to God and the abuse continued. Now when God has made himself available at a later age they feel God never heard their prayers, or that God does not love them. Listen, God hears all sincere prayers of a desperate heart. His time of deliverance will come, the time when you will be able to make choices and truly be free. It is through Christ Jesus that we have our prayers answered. God has no obligation to answer every prayer, but through Christ Jesus he hears our prayers; spoken or from the groanings of our heart. Jesus is the way to God who is the caring Father of all who believe in him.

All things for good

Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

This is one of those "most important" promises of God. All things, all circumstances, work together for good if we love God and belong to him through Jesus Christ. I have seen cancer patients smile as they were about to die, knowing they would soon be in the presence of the Lord. This is our hope again. Waiting for the redemption of our body and the wonderful inheritance of the children of light.

Wait you say, this verse is about dying? No it is about living! We live forever in the glorious promises of God. We are kept in him by the blood of Jesus. It is more then loving God, even the heathens can say they love God. The rooms are full of people with the message of love, but many are not of God, called according to His purpose. We are called. What is His purpose? To conform us to the image of his son Jesus. To love God with all our hearts and others as ourself. To bring fruit to him, to glorify him by our fruit.

John 15:8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
John 15:9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

Does God have a specific purpose for us? Yes, we are called unto good works which God prepared beforehand.

Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

We are to do His will for his pleasure, this will brings us the greatest happiness. Seeking happiness apart from God will bring emptiness. God fills us with all good things.

Phil 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Eph 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

As children of God we obey our father who trains us to do what is best. As Jesus received a cup, we are given a calling. As he obeyed, we obey learning to hear and walk in step with the prompting of the Holy Spirit.

James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

Let's see this wonderful verse again.

Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
