Day of the LORD
Isa 2:10 Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty.
Rev 6:15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

Israel had become a sinful, rebellious nation worshipping other gods. They were wealthy and proud, but the day of the LORD will come. They will hide themselves in caves and in the rocks.
Isa 2:11 The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
Isa 2:12 For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:
Psa 119:21 Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, which do err from thy commandments.

Isa 2:17 And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
All the things that man has made and exalts himself with, shall be brought down. Remember the Titanic? The captain boasted that even God couldn't sink that ship and on the first voyage; they struck an iceberg and they sank.
Acts 12:21 And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them.

God is not impressed with our pride. Exalt the LORD.

Stop glorifying men and wealth and possessions. They will not save you.
