Mark - What angers Jesus?

What angers Jesus?

Mark 3:1 And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand.
Mark 3:2 And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.

A man with a withered hand in the presence of the Son of God. The all powerful, loving son, who has no sin and hates evil, yet loves the sinner who comes to him in need. The Pharisees, the proud religious leaders who knew the law and used the law to condemn and destroy, in the presence of the Lord of grace and justice. They plotted, to find something to accuse him of, he saw their hearts and also saw the need of the man with the withered hand. It was the sabbath, and Jesus had already stated that he was Lord of the sabbath. No sinful man could claim to be the Lord of the sabbath, only God is Lord of the sabbath. Jesus is God come in a man.

Mark 3:3 And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth.
Mark 3:4 And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.

Wow, he being perfectly righteous puts forth a declaration of pure justice and truth. Jesus is our justice and truth, we cannot go around Him. If we seek truth and perfect justice we must face Jesus as who he is, our Lord and savior. "Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace."

Mark 3:5 And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.

Jesus angry? God angry? Yes, at the cold and hard hearts of sinners. Is not the Spirit grieved?

Eph 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
Eph 4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
Eph 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Eph 5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;

Jesus went ahead and healed the man,in spite of the plotting religious leaders.

Mark 3:6 And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

True to their wicked hearts, they saw no good but continued in their hard hearted plans, going to the Herodians, who were not a religious party; they were a group of Jews who were sympathetic to King Herod and supported his rule. The world will always oppose the things of God, for the world has another god who is satan, the accuser and liar, who seeks to destroy the work of God. Sinners can always find supporters. Who will stand up for Jesus and truth?
