No Listening to God

Isa 6:9 And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.

Go tell the people God's message. God knows that they do not hear Him.

Isa 6:10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.

Because of their lack of hearing, God gives them over to fatness of heart, heavy sluggish ears, shut, sleeping eyes, to make it even harder for them to be converted.

Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Many today claim to be Christians, but are dull of hearing, have eyes that do not want to see God's word and are self centered.

Prov 6:9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?
Prov 6:10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
Prov 6:11 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.

There are spiritual sluggards too.

Isa 6:11 Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,
Isa 6:12 And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.

Keep talking to these people who will not listen until their city is destroyed and they go into captivity. They cannot blame God, for he warned them.

Isa 6:13 But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.

One in ten shall remain in the land or shall return to the land, but they shall also receive more judgement from God. The holy seed, those of God would be from this number.

Isa 1:9 Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.

Isa 10:21 The remnant shallreturn, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.
