Revelation 16 - Unrepentant

Unrepentant

Rev 16:8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire.

The angel of fire.

Rev 14:18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.

Rev 16:9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

Too much light, too much heat and still no repentance. In spite of the suffering. They had no part with God. Those of God glorify him; they would not. They had not the mind of Christ, but the mind of the devil.

Rom 15:5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:
Rom 15:6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Rev 16:10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,

Physical darkness came to the beast and his kingdom, no light at all, giving them a feeling of what it meant to be in darkness, a taste of what was coming. They reflected on their condition and gnawed their tongues for pain.

Mat 8:12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

People who cut themselves know what this means. The pain inside is so great that they inflict pain outwardly to help remove the feelings of anguish. This behavior is not of God, let God take this from you, if this is your way of dealing with hurts. The beast and his princes will have anguish, fear, pain without relief.

Rev 16:11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

They did not seek God but they blasphemed him, calling him evil names, accusing him for the mess they were in because of their rebellion. They still would not repent. They could have repented but they would not. There are two kinds of repentance, being sorry for being caught, with sins punishment and a repentance unto salvation by faith in Jesus Christ. They had no repentance of any kind.
