Be Ready

Be Ready

There is much going on in the peoples lives and in the world. There is no doubt in my mind that the end is drawing near. All will be shaken and many will lose faith; It is no time to give up. It is a time of preparation, for if we are to serve with Jesus at his coming, we must be faithful servants now.  Must we wait for his presence when he is already dwelling within? We have his Bible and we may hear and speak to him in prayer. It is time to stand against the unrest and turmoil of the enemy. For some it is illness or affliction; look to Jesus our healer. Others are concerned about money and finances. Seek God first and be active in your effort to find work. Others suffer from fear and confusion; be still and seek God. Be used now so that you will be given responsibilities when Christ returns in glory.

2 Tim 1:7  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Isa 32:1  Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.

The coming King is Jesus; Jesus shall reign on earth with his princes. Jesus shall reign on earth with the saints as kings and priests.

Rev 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

1 Cor 6:3  Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?
1 Cor 6:4  If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.
1 Cor 6:5  I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?

We shall judge the angels, including satan, who have rebelled against God. If we are to be judges with Jesus, why are we not able to judge rightand wrong here among those of the church. Jesus is with us and his discernment we must have, He has given us his Word of truth. He will judge all by the commands of God.

Isa 32:2  And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

Jesus is the man, who is the Son of God. He is our hiding place and refuge in times of trouble. He is a shelter in the time of storm. He is the source of the living waters; the Holy Spirit is with him without measure. He is the shade of a great rock and he is the great rock, the foundation of the church.

Psa 91:1  He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Psa 91:2  I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

Their is a hymn for this verse written by Vernon Charlesworth a favorite hymn of English fishermen. They were often heard singing it as they approached their harbors in the time of storm.

A shelter in the time of storm

The Lord’s our Rock, in Him we hide, A Shelter in the time of storm;
Secure whatever ill betide, A Shelter in the time of storm.

Refrain

Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land, A weary land, a weary land;
Oh, Jesus is a Rock in a weary land, A Shelter in the time of storm.

A shade by day, defense by night, A Shelter in the time of storm;
No fears alarm, no foes afright, A Shelter in the time of storm.

Refrain

The raging storms may round us beat, A Shelter in the time of storm
We’ll never leave our safe retreat, A Shelter in the time of storm.

Refrain

O Rock divine, O Refuge dear, A Shelter in the time of storm;
Be Thou our Helper ever near, A Shelter in the time of storm.

Isa 32:3  And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken.

Do you see Jesus with your Spiritual eyes? Do your ears hear his sweet word? Then you are the blessed of God.

Isa 32:4  The heart also of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.

The heart of those who have a short attention span, who have not taken time to study and to understand God's word at the presence of Jesus; they will understand knowledge. The stutterers shall be ready to speak plainly. These things are available now through the Holy Spirit within you. Oral Roberts was a stammering stuttering person until He gave his life to Jesus. He was healed of TB and became a mighty speaker of the gospel. Through his faith and the power of God, many were healed.

1 Pet 3:15  But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
1 Pet 3:16  Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.
1 Pet 3:17  For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.
1 Pet 3:18  For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

Psa 86:5  For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
Psa 86:6  Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.
Psa 86:7  In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.
Psa 86:8  Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.

Mat 24:44  Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
Mat 24:45  Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
Mat 24:46  Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
Mat 24:47  Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

Mark 14:38  Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.

Are you ready to meet the Lord? He is with you now for healing , for peace and for serving him. Prepare now for service; learn what it is to serve with all your heart the one who is LORD of all.
