The LORDs mercy - Isaiah 27

The LORDs mercy

Isa 27:7 Hath he smitten him, as he smote those that smote him? or is he slain according to the slaughter of them that are slain by him?

The LORD does correct his people. Israel had fallen into idolotry and God allowed foreign nations to take them captive and to distress them. Yet the LORD set limits and times. If you have received things evil, there is a time when you will be free, but those who continue to do evil will have God's judgment upon them. Evil nations who have no love or connection to the LORD, will receive a greater punishment, than his covenant people.

Isa 27:8 In measure, when it shooteth forth, thou wilt debate with it: he stayeth his rough wind in the day of the east wind.

The LORD will control the amount of the punishment that his people receive.

Isa 27:9 By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.

When Jacob or Israel repents and when the altars to false God's crumble to dust, because of the LORD's wrath. When there are no more false places of worship; in the end times the LORD will visit Israel with salvation. We should seek our hearts to see if any wicked thing is there, any wicked spirit that causes us to stumble and sin. Jesus is our redeemer, we repent of evil and come to him. The time will come for Jacob too.

Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Rom 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
