Luke - Kingdom Honor

Luke 22:29 And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;

Jesus says a kingdom awaits his beloved disciples. As Jesus shall be the king, they shall have positions of leadership.

Luke 22:30 That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Eating and drinking in our new glorified bodies in the kingdom. They would be with the Lord at his table. In fact the whole church will be at the wedding feast, as the Lord meets his bride, the church of the redeemed. These men would have special honor as judges of the twelve tribes of Israel. Their names will be on the twelve foundations of the wall of the New Jerusalem.

Rev 21:14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

We will be rewarded for service, but we do not serve because of rewards.

Mark 10:29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,
Mark 10:30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
