Mark - Healing power

Healing power

Mark 5:30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?

Jesus is all good, virtue was taken, the Greek word for virtue, dunamis, the word for power, strength, mighty work, miracle. He knew that power had gone out for healing and he knew who it was. He asked who touched my clothes? Would the person witness to her healing? Or would she be ashamed?

Mark 8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Mark 5:31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
Mark 5:32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.

Jesus looked at the woman. That look brought conviction. Jesus knows, later on he would look at Peter who would deny him three times.

Luke 22:61 And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.
Luke 22:62 And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.

Mark 5:33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.

God loves those who come to him in truth and with a humble heart. This is the way to come to Jesus, the Son of God for healing, for salvation too.

Mark 5:34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

Jesus gives peace.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Jesus is our healer, she was healed her of her plague.

1 Pet 2:24 Who his own self (Jesus) bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

He was whipped, he bled for our healing and was hung on the tree cross for our salvation from sin and death. Through faith we receive from him. Thank you Jesus.
