A New Heart

Reconciled

Heb 10:16  This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
Heb 10:17  And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

2 Cor 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2 Cor 5:18  And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
2 Cor 5:19  To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
2 Cor 5:20  Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
2 Cor 5:21  For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

The broken relationship with God is restored unto harmony. We have peace with God. We are given a ministry of reconciliation, to reach out to those around us. We forgive them as we were forgiven and we show them what Jesus can dofor them. We witness and testify of our new life in Christ Jesus.

We are given access to God through the Holy Spirit and prayer. Jesus becomes our great high priest in heaven. He is our intercessor to God the Father. We may come to the very throne room of God and speak to him our heart needs.

Heb 4:15  For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Heb 4:16  Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

We are also to intercede for others in prayer to God our Father.

James 5:16  Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Gal 6:1  Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
Gal 6:2  Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

A heart of Love

Mat 22:36  Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Mat 22:37  Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Mat 22:38  This is the first and great commandment.
Mat 22:39  And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Mat 22:40  On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

John 13:34  A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
John 13:35  By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

1 John 4:9  In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
1 John 4:10  Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
1 John 4:11  Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
1 John 4:12  No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
1 John 4:13  Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us,because he hath given us of his Spirit.

A Thankful Heart

Luke 17:15  And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
Luke 17:16  And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
Luke 17:17  And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
Luke 17:18  There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
Luke 17:19  And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

Ten lepers were made clean by Jesus, only one returned. Jesus healed me of cancer 50 years ago. I am thankful that he has kept me and still loves me. He is faithful and we should be faithful too. We should take time each day to thank him for or new life.

Phil 4:6  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Phil 4:7  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Rev 7:11  And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
Rev 7:12  Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

Col 3:15  And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Col 3:16  Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Col 3:17  And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Peace with God

The greatest of all to me, is our heart of peace with God. This is my favorite verse:

John 14:27  Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Our new way is a way of peace. The presence of peace is evidence of the presence God's Spirit.

Mat 10:11  And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, inquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.
Mat 10:12  And when ye come into an house, salute it.
Mat 10:13  And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.
Mat 10:14  And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

Mark 4:39  And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
Mark 4:40  And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
Mark 4:41  And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

I believe that Jesus in us can bring peace in the midst of storms and that our prayer of faith can calm a storm.

Rom 5:1  Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Rom 5:2  By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Rom 10:15  And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, andbring glad tidings of good things!

We are to go out with the gospel of peace to all people, with the ministry of reconciliation. We do this because he loves us and we love others. We thank God by serving him and sharing him with others. Our heart is full of his love,; love for God and love for those we see and share with. We were once lost in sin, but now we are found and peace fills our hearts. Thank you Lord Jesus.
