Fruit

The Gospel of Luke   Fruit   Luke 6:43  For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.   Every tree brings forth fruit after its kind. An orange tree makes oranges, a mock orange has orange looking blossoms, but no fruit. A persimmon picked too soon make you pucker, with a bad taste. Each after it's kind.
Luke 6:44  For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.   We do not look for fruit from the wrong kind of trees. Nor should we expect truth from a liar.
Luke 6:45  A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.   The heart? Is it the heart of God? A heart sanctified and holy? The heart of Jesus, the dwelling place of his Spirit? Or is the heart evil, full of the fruit of the old man and the devil?   Just as Jesus came from His father and was of a like mind. So we are of His Spirit, if we have the mind of Christ. You shall know a man by his fruit. The fruit of his lips; words to build or to destroy. The fruit of his life, good works or bad. Is God master of his life or self? You know them by their fruit.   Luke 16:10  He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
Luke 16:11  If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
Luke 16:12  And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?
Luke 16:13  No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Luke 16:14  And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.
Luke 16:15  And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

Just thoughts

How blessed it is to be a child of God, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. What more can we want?

He is my life, my breath my reason for living. Shall I not serve him with all my heart? He is worthy of all honor and praise. I come willingly, touching his feet, pierced for me. How great a love is this, that my savior would die for me. Praise be to the Father who gave Jesus power, power that he had before, but had laid aside, power to rise from the grave. That power was shared by the Father and the Holy Ghost. All were willing and so able to bring forth the body of Jesus Christ into new eternal life. A body that was seen and heard and touched, a new body without pain, a body that satan could not touch. A body that made the guards at the tomb retreat in fear as the angel rolled back the stone. Dead man walking? No, it was the alive son of man walking. Glory, Haleluia, Jesus is alive , He is alive forever more and because he lives I live.

Re: Story of "I AM"

A Story...   I was regretting the past and fearing the future. Suddenly my Lord was speaking, "My name is I AM." He paused. I waited. He continued,

"When you live in the past with its mistakes and regrets, it is hard. I am not there. My name is not I WAS."

"When you live in the future, with its problems and fears, it is hard. I am not there. My name is not I WILL BE."

"When you live in this moment, it is not hard. I am here. My name is I AM."

Interesting idea, but God is not limited by time, He Is past present and future from eternity past to eternity future. I like knowing this. Let's see what God's word says about I AM.

Gen 15:1  After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

Gen 28:10  And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran.
Gen 28:11  And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.
Gen 28:12  And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.
Gen 28:13  And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;
Gen 28:14  And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
Gen 28:15  And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.

Exo 3:14  And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

He is the I AM of today, he was the I AM of yesterday and he will be the I AM of tomorrow.

Heb 13:8  Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

He is the beginning and the end.

Rev 1:8  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Rev 1:11  Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last:...

Rev 21:6  And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
Rev 21:7  He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
Rev 21:8  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Rev 22:13  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Rev 22:14  Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Rev 22:15  For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
Rev 22:16  I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
Rev 22:17  And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

The Greatest Gift (by Jesse Thomas age 10)

Hey brothers and sis... the following was written tonight, by my youngest son Jesse ( Jesse means 'a gift of God'-'God is Real') he wanted to write a poem, for xtra credit at school, and said he was going to title it...'The Greatest Gift' , I asked him, what is the greatest gift to him...he said, JESUS...and went in his room, with hardly any help at all, and wrote this~~~>

There is a gift that's not wrapped beautifully and placed beneath a tree... Not either is this gift expensive, it's priceless, yet it's free... It's a gift thats far more priceless than the purest chain of Gold, it's recieved not just by young, but old. It's a gift that never gets old, it's discovered fresh and new. A gift that's not forgotten after a year or two...A gift that never can be bought by riches or great price. A gift thats only paid by the precious Blood of Jesus Christ... and this gift that God has given, is Salvation; full and free and when you see Him in the clouds, He is there for You and Me. Jesus is the greatest gift, you will ever recieve!

I am in tears sitting here typing this to you...this poem from my childs hand...God is Great...WOW!!!     As soon as I read this, I knew I had to share with my family...Love U guys!!   In His Grace just me (Merry) and Jesse

Forked tongue

Hi Gary got another question for ya. I had asked someone the other day about what snakes symbolized, meaning since they had a forked tongue and if somehow connected to evil. They said no but there were a lot of references to dragons??? Is that true?

A snake is a serpent and the Bible describes the serpent as symbolic of satan.

Gen 3:1  Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

Satan is subtle and a liar. We have heard it said that someone speaks with a forked tongue, meaning he is not to be trusted. The Bible doesn't speak of a forked tongue but it says this of our tongue...it goes in two directions and like a snake has poison.

James 3:8  But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
James 3:9  Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.
James 3:10  Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
James 3:11  Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
James 3:12  Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.
James 3:13  Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him show out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
James 3:14  But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
James 3:15  This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
James 3:16  For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
James 3:17  But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

The dragon is a picture of that old serpent the devil.

Rev 12:7  And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
Rev 12:8  And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
Rev 12:9  And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Rev 12:10  And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
Rev 12:11  And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Rev 12:12  Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

Disrupters

In a message dated 3/1/2005 10:50:14 AM Pacific Standard Time, Dixiedaisy815 writes:
Staying in the last study room gave those that were searching for Him and His Word and wanting to strengthen their faith, allowing them to do that without the heckling and distractions that a few had determined to cause in the 1st room.
We can expect opposition to the word. God's word is living and powerful and must be spoken. There are always chat rooms filled with disrupters. The first thing I saw when on AOL was all the confusion. There was a need for places that the word could be taught for all who were interested, sometimes one or two, if more? that is good. The Holy Spirit cannot minister in confusion, but will open up God's fullness to those who seek him in one heart and one Spirit. Satan knows this and sends his workers, even through IMs during these times. If all are in the room in unity, then the IMs come to distract. I often turn the IMs off because of this.
