Sounds stupid and oxymoronic I know but there are Christians and non Christians doing just that. They go through the motions...no joy. They do right things...But not out of love. They profess love for God ...Yet God is kept at arms length. Like King Amaziah: He did right in the sight of the LORD, yet not with a whole heart. (II Chr. 25:2) Which leads to the question: Can you live a whole life with half a heart?
Then there are the non Christians doing good works. In Matt 7 there were those doing the prophetic, driving out demons and doing miracles; yet Jesus says, Depart from Me. I never knew you." Not I used to know you but not any more...But I never knew you. Are we letting Christ live His life in us or are we just living our own lives?
Always enjoy reading your stuff. space, outAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
